| HS/HT is a teacher-led and structured group activity. To be eligible, students must be in grades 8-12, be between ages 14-22, and have a disability that is physical, sensory or learning related. Many of them are kids who like or want to learn and discover more about science, math, computers or technology. Others want to explore the arts, social services, or skilled crafts and trades. HS/HT exposes students to a wide range of careers – computers to biotechnology. . . transportation to weather tracking. . . landscape design to healthcare. . . music to the environment, carpentry, public safety or auto repair. These are students who want to learn more about the real world of work and education and have what it takes to keep learning after high school. They have the potential to do more, reach higher, dig deeper. They want jobs that fit their skills and abilities, but ones that are also cool, fun, pay well, and allow them to be creative. |
