Students visit local laboratories, manufacturing plants, and other technical industries to explore what is available in the area and to meet with corporate representatives who can explain the industry and requirements for employment.

Mentoring - Professional and career advisors meet regularly with students to advise and inform them about career choices and employment opportunities and advancement.

Job Shadowing - Students spend time at local corporations to learn specifics about careers by observing and interacting with professionals.

Guest Speakers - Professionals from businesses meet with small groups of students to inform and inspire them.

Internships - Students participate in paid and volunteer internships that provide on-the-job training during the summer or school year in areas of interest to the student.

School Visits - Groups visit local colleges and technical schools to learn about postsecondary educational opportunities and requirements.

Leadership/Self Advocacy - Through participation in the various aspects of High School/High Tech, the students develop skills that will assist them in pursuing careers in the technical field.
