| Virtually everyone benefits from HS/HT. Youth gain experience and the training needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven economy. They develop self-confidence and learn that it’s ability not disability that counts. Students can earn while they learn – both a paycheck and money management techniques. And they reach an understanding of the benefits of work and how their efforts contribute to a larger goal. Parents watch their children learn to become successful adults by becoming more independent and productive. Families get involved with setting goals and solving problems, sharing responsibilities and achieving mutual respect. Employers gain access to a brand-new, capable and well-trained labor force. . . one that expands workforce diversity, gives companies a competitive advantage and contributes to leadership development.
