Georgia’s HS/HT program empowers youth.
Kids go on field trips to businesses and manufacturing plants. . .
they visit laboratories and government agencies. . . they tour technical schools and college campuses.
Young people participate in community service projects. . . they shadow adults at work to see what real jobs are like. . . they partner with adults to learn leadership skills. . . and they work with tutors to learn how to learn.
Students also get involved in summer work programs, paid and unpaid internships, and competitive awards of refurbished laptop computers.
