What does your agency do?
Rehabilitation Services operates five integrated and interdependent programs that share a primary goal -- to help people with disabilites to become fully productive members of society by achieving independence and meaniful employment. The largest of the programs are Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Program, Disability Adjudication Services, and the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation. Two other unique programs serve consumers with visual impairments -- the Business Enterprise Program and Georgia Industries for the Blind.

What does VR do?
The VR Program assists people with disabilities to work and provides employers with dependable, qualified employees.

How do I qualify for VR services?
To qualify for vocational rehabilitation services, your disability must be permanent and affect your ability to work in at least two ways. Each person's situation is considered individually. So, contact your local office to find out for sure.

Where do I apply for services if I am moving to Georgia?
Contact the office nearest your new home. Staff from our local office will take your application and determine your eligibility.

How do you determine if a person is eligible?
Staff from our local office will consider your disability and its effects on your functioning related to work.

Can I receive services if I am not a U.S. citizen?
If a person is not an U.S. citizen, they must have a valid permit to work in addition to having a disability which is permanent and affects your ability to work in at least 2 ways.

Where can I get used equipment or recycled computers?
Tools for Life can assist you locating used and recycled assistive technology devices, as well as locating possible funding for assistive technology.
