Count on Rehabilitation Services
The State Rehabilitation Council was established in 1993 as mandated by the 1992 Amendments to the Rehabilitation Act of 1992 (P.L. 102-569). The State Rehabilitation Council was established to advise Rehabilitation Services regarding performance in providing vocational rehabilitation services to Georgians with disabilities. An annual report to the governor is prepared and submitted each year regarding the activities, reviews, and advice provided to the Vocational Rehabilitation Program by the Council. The Council works cooperatively with the Director of Rehabilitation Services to assure that services provided by the agency meet the needs of consumers with disabilities.
